Andrea Hetzke is a librarian by day and a candle maker by every other waking moment. Based in Illinois, she blends her love of books, storytelling, and science into candles inspired by scent memories and literary moments. What began as a kitchen-table hobby during the pandemic has since grown into a full-fledged creative studio?one filled with wax melters, shipping boxes, and endless experiments in fragrance. Entirely self-taught, Andrea handcrafts each candle herself and draws inspiration from the quiet beauty of libraries, her favorite authors, and the joyful reactions of customers who find comfort in her creations.

Care
First Burn Matters Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar the first time you light it. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn. Trim the Wick Keep your wick trimmed to about ¼ inch before each burn. This keeps the flame steady and reduces smoke. Burn Time Don’t burn your candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time. This helps preserve the fragrance and keeps your jar safe. Safety First Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects. Stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains. Storage Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve scent .

Gorgeous candle!!
Honestly, this candle is such a win! The smell fills the room with it's lovely scent...but it is not overbearing! The vibe is cozy. Plus, the wick burns straight every time, so you aren't dealing with any of that annoying lopsided melting. You can tell it's just beautifully made—it looks so good sitting on my coffee table, dining room table or on the counter in my kitchen.

The joy of smelling books ❤️
This candle smells exactly as I'd imagined and hoped it would. Not much makes me as happy as wandering through stacks of books, then curling up with them to disappear into alternate worlds. This evokes that experience perfectly.
