James Gallagher is a Brooklyn-based artist who creates soulful collage portraits from paper, scissors, and decades of collected ephemera. Originally from Michigan, James studied illustration in NYC and fell in love with collage while navigating new parenthood and tight deadlines. His work draws from Expressionism, Dada, and Surrealism, and his home studio is a treasure trove of vintage books, magazines, and found imagery. Each piece is handmade with heart, guided by his love of storytelling, and helpful guidance from his family.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 4/7/2026.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.  At this time, this item cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, P.O.
