Poor packaging ruins the value of the candle
The candle is beautiful. However, I was disappointed that the box was torn and scratched. If the box was appropriately intact, its presentation would also be beautiful. Unfortunately, the candle was intended as a gift and its value as a gift is diminished by the ragged condition of the box. I would be embarrassed to give it as a gift. UG did respond quickly to send a replacement but the box for the replacement candle is even more torn and ragged than the first. They clearly do not package it appropriately for shipping. It is ridiculous that UG doesn't take better care with such an item. I cannot give either original nor the replacement candle as a gift. I am a longtime UG customer but I am very disappointed in the company at this point. I cannot recommend this candle if intended as a gift.

Pretty and functional
Gifted for a friend who I know doesn't burn pretty candles so I can't speak to that but I inspected it before I gifted and it was well packaged so everything was intact and very pretty. I didn't notice a smell to it so I think it's a good neutral pretty candle
