Care

1. Carefully unpack your Olive tree upon arrival. Remove burlap and plastic bag covering the container. 2. Find a sunny location where it can receive as much natural light as possible. It is important to keep your tree moist. Water your tree twice a week until run off is sufficient. You can grow your Olive tree for a number of years as a patio plant by transplanting it into a large container with potting soil. CONTAINER PLANTING: If you live in an environment where there are freezing temperatures (colder than 15 degrees F), plant your Olive tree in a container. Bring indoors during the cold winter months. Once the frost has passed, bring your Olive tree outdoors into the full sun again. Make sure your container the roots have ample room to grow. Pick a container that is 3 to 4 inches wider in diameter than the current pot. LANDSCAPE PLANTING: If your winter lows do not dip below 18 degrees, pick a spot in the full sun or a minimum of five hours of direct sunlight.
